Responsible play
The Anchor Room at Brinehaven Quay is an optional, adults-only amenity. We treat gaming as one evening choice among many — never a requirement of your stay.
Our approach
Harbour life runs on tides and limits: how long you soak, how much rope you pay out, when you turn back before fog. We apply the same thinking to the Anchor Room. Attendants explain house rules before you buy in, clocks are visible above every table, and staff will pause play if you ask for time to reconsider.
Gaming stays separate from guest rooms. There is no in-room betting, no mobile app tied to our lodge, and no pressure from staff to visit the floor. If you came for sleep, supper, and salt air, that is enough.
House tools
- Deposit limits — Set a chip budget at the counter before entry; we will not extend it mid-session without a cooling-off period.
- Time reminders — Optional alerts at intervals you choose.
- Self-exclusion — Ask the desk to block Anchor Room access for a chosen period; the note stays on your guest file confidentially.
- ID verification — Every entrant must prove they are 18 or older with valid photo identification.
Signs to watch for
Gaming should remain leisure, not relief from stress or debt. Consider stepping away if you chase losses, hide play from companions, borrow to continue, or skip meals and rest to stay at the table. A walk on the lit quay costs nothing and often clears the head faster than another hand.
